Chocolate World

Hershey’s Chocolate World opened on June 30th 1973. Hershey's Chocolate World is opened year round and has marketplace shops and restaurants specializing in Hershey's products. Inside Hershey's Chocolate World offers, The Really Big 3-D show, Factory Works Experience, The Hershey Trolley Works, Marketplace Shops and a free Chocolate Tour ride. Hershey's Chocolate World is located off of Hersheypark Drive.
Parking is available in a separate lot or you can use the Hersheypark parking lot which offers a tram service to and from Hershey's Chocolate World. Hours vary depending on the season, so be sure to check back for the current hours of operation. Hershey’s Chocolate World was built as a replacement of the Hershey chocolate plant tour. This tour was discontinued, because it was no longer able to handle the large numbers of visitors year round. Throughout the years the tour ride has gone through several revisions and renovations. The first one in 1978 to add a series of shops. Hershey invested 4.5 million dollars into Hershey's Chocolate World in 1988. In the 90s, the ride had a number of small revisions. The last renovation occurred in early 2006. Several scenes in the chocolate tour ride were replaced with singing, animatronic cows. The rest of Hershey's Chocolate World contains various shops. You can purchase Hershey souvenirs and chocolate, several counter service meal locations like Kit Kat "Give Me a Break" Café, Hershey's Courtyard Food Court, Artisan Confections, and Hershey's Ice Cream Shop. Also you may find special new chocolate as well as candy items that may not yet be available to purchase in other stores. Be sure to visit the main store it is one of the largest candy stores in the world.
